- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Optional Filling:
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- OR 1/2 cup chocolate chips π«
- OR coconut + sugar π₯₯
For the Topping:
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- Optional: shredded coconut or sliced almonds

1. Activate Yeast
- Mix warm milk + a little sugar.
- Add yeast and let sit 5β10 minutes until foamy.
2. Make Dough
- Add eggs, butter, remaining sugar, vanilla, and salt.
- Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms.
3. Knead
- Knead for 8β10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
4. First Rise
- Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1β1.5 hours until doubled.
5. Shape the Rosca
- Roll dough into a rectangle.
- Spread your filling (if using).
- Roll into a log, then form a ring.
- Pinch ends to seal.
6. Second Rise
- Place on a baking tray and let rise 30β45 minutes.
7. Bake
- Brush with egg wash and sprinkle sugar/toppings.
- Bake at 180Β°C (350Β°F) for 25β30 minutes until golden.
8. Finish
- Optional: drizzle with icing (powdered sugar + milk) for extra sweetness β¨
