Sticky Glazed Chicken

Here’s a bold, flavorful Sticky Glazed Chicken with Beans & Fresh Coleslaw 🍗🥗

🍗 Sticky Glazed Chicken

Serves 4

🛒 Ingredients

Chicken:

  • 4 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on) or boneless thighs
  • Salt & black pepper
  • 1 tbsp oil

Sticky Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger (optional)
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional heat)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Season chicken with salt and pepper.

2️⃣ Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high.
Sear chicken skin-side down first (5–7 min) until golden.
Flip and cook another 5–6 minutes.

3️⃣ Make glaze:
Mix honey, soy sauce, ketchup, sugar, garlic, ginger, vinegar, chili flakes.

4️⃣ Lower heat and pour glaze into pan.
Simmer 5–8 minutes, turning chicken occasionally until thick, sticky, and glossy.

👉 Spoon extra glaze over chicken before serving.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (400 g) beans (black beans or kidney beans), drained & rinsed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper
  • Squeeze of lemon

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add beans and seasonings.
  3. Cook 5–7 minutes until warmed through.
  4. Finish with lemon juice.

🥗 Fresh Creamy Coleslaw

Ingredients

  • 3 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp honey
  • Salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix mayo, vinegar, honey, salt, pepper.
  2. Toss with cabbage and carrot.
  3. Chill 20–30 minutes before serving.

🍽 Serving Idea

Plate sticky chicken, spoon glaze over top.
Add seasoned beans on the side.
Finish with crisp coleslaw for freshness.
