Hot Fudge Chocolate Pudding Cake

Here’s a rich, gooey Hot Fudge Chocolate Pudding Cake 🍫✨
It magically creates its own chocolate sauce underneath while baking!


🍫 Hot Fudge Chocolate Pudding Cake

Serves: 6–8

🧁 Cake Batter

  • 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup (150 g) sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter or oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

🍫 Fudge Topping

  • 1/2 cup (100 g) brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup (25 g) cocoa powder

💧 Hot Liquid

  • 1 1/4 cups (300 ml) hot water

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Lightly grease an 8-inch (20 cm) baking dish.

2️⃣ Make batter:
In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla. Stir until smooth.
Spread evenly into prepared dish.

3️⃣ Add topping:
Mix brown sugar and cocoa together. Sprinkle evenly over batter.

4️⃣ Pour hot water:
Slowly pour hot water over the top.
👉 Do NOT stir! (This creates the sauce layer.)

5️⃣ Bake 30–35 minutes until top looks set but center is slightly soft.

6️⃣ Rest 10 minutes before serving.


🍨 How to Serve

Scoop warm into bowls — spooning some of the gooey sauce from the bottom over the top.
Best served with:

  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Whipped cream
  • Fresh berries
