🥓🍗 Chicken Bacon Ranch Skillet
Ingredients
For the Chicken Bacon Ranch Dish
- 2 large chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (about 1 oz)
For the Sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for lighter)
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (Colby-Jack also slaps)
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Black pepper (go easy—ranch is salty)
Optional Add-Ins
- Chopped green onions
- Fresh parsley
- Red pepper flakes
- Steamed broccoli or spinach (to make it a “real meal”)
Instructions
- Cook the chicken
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add chicken pieces, season lightly with pepper, and cook 5–6 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside. - Build the sauce
Lower heat to medium. Add garlic and sauté ~30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in chicken broth and scrape up the good bits.
Stir in heavy cream and ranch seasoning. - Make it creamy
Simmer 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
Stir in cheddar and Parmesan until melted and smooth. - Bring it home
Add chicken back to the skillet.
Stir in crumbled bacon.
Simmer 2–3 minutes until everything is coated and cozy. - Finish & serve
Garnish with green onions or parsley. Taste before adding salt—usually it doesn’t need it.
