🍫 Triple Chocolate Cake with Hot Fudge Sauce

Rich. Deep. Decadent. This cake is loaded with chocolate in three forms — cocoa, melted chocolate, and chocolate chips — then drenched in warm, glossy fudge sauce.

🍰 Triple Chocolate Cake

🧾 Ingredients

Cake

  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • ½ cup (100g) brown sugar
  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup (75g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup (120ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 cup (240ml) buttermilk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup (120ml) hot coffee (enhances chocolate flavor)
  • ½ cup (90g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 oz (85g) melted dark chocolate

🥣 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8-inch round pan.

2️⃣ Mix dry ingredients in a bowl: flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

3️⃣ Whisk wet ingredients in another bowl: sugars, eggs, oil, buttermilk, vanilla.

4️⃣ Stir wet into dry until combined.

5️⃣ Mix in melted chocolate. Slowly add hot coffee (batter will be thin — that’s good!).

6️⃣ Fold in chocolate chips.

7️⃣ Pour into pan and bake 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.

8️⃣ Cool 15 minutes before removing from pan.

🍫 Hot Fudge Sauce

  • ½ cup (90g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Pinch of salt

🥄 Instructions

1️⃣ Heat cream, sugar, and cocoa in a saucepan until steaming (do not boil).
2️⃣ Remove from heat. Add chocolate chips and butter.
3️⃣ Stir until smooth and glossy.
4️⃣ Add vanilla and salt.

✨ To Serve

  • Pour warm fudge over slightly warm cake
  • Add vanilla ice cream
  • Sprinkle chocolate shavings or berries

🔥 Pro Tips

  • Use good-quality dark chocolate (60–70%) for richer flavor.
  • For ultra-moist texture, don’t overbake.
  • The fudge thickens as it cools — reheat gently to loosen.
